View Of The Boulevard du Temple 1838

A number of special days we denote through holiday celebration, or just by remembering because of something that earns its monumental purpose; therefore, we mustn’t forget about the splendor and bliss that places World Photography Day on August 19th!

Why is this day an important day? What has come to make this World Photography day so special is a process called the Daguerrotype process.  This chemical method, the Daguerrotype process, developed by French artist and physicist Louis Daguerre, ultimately became the first commercial photographic process and laid the groundwork for 20th century photography!

Although Thomas Wedgwood an England Photographer born on 14 May 1771, or perhaps United Kingdom’s William Henry Fox Talbot born February 11, 1800, may have been earlier considered for capturing the first photographs ever taken through this chemical process known as Daguerrotype, it was on August 19, 1839 that the French Academy of Science gifted the View Of The Boulevard du Temple 1838 – taken by Louis Daguerre himself –  a first for the world to cherish!

So get out there today and capture some photos and celebrate them with your family and friends!
